Food Approach

Healthy homemade chickpea and veggies salad, diet, vegetarian, vegan food, vitamin snack

A Greek philosopher once said: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. With this being said, how are you using food to give you energy, to help you lose weight or gain weight? There are many things to consider:

  • Organic vs. non-organic
  • Protein: animal vs. plant-based
  • Acidity vs. alkaline
  • Gluten-free or not
  • Fiber
  • Vitamins
  • Water dense
  • And many more …

Get out your food planner: Add what foods you like to eat.  Are they nourishing? Filling? Comfort food? Pick me up food?  It all starts with planning and being clear on what you like. No point in adding a vegetable that is full of nutrients if you don’t like it.  Do a little soul searching of what your favorite foods are.  One way is to ask yourself what do you order when you go out for a meal?  Is it something new, like Kimchi, when your curiosity is involved.  Is it a dish you like a lot but is too time-consuming for you to make, like Lasagna?

Getting to know your palate is very important when gravitating towards your ideal menu.  Then comes the other items on the above list that will help you define whether animal vs. plant-based, do you need more fiber, protein, warm or cold …etc.  This is a fun journey of discovery and getting to experiment with new foods as well.  Have you ever had a vegan raw cheesecake?  The first time I tried it, I was skeptical.  Now, I am a big fan!  I love to experiment with flavors and textures and have posted some of my favorite recipes on our social media platforms.  Please check them out.  We would love to hear how they worked for you.

We are listening to our followers and have designed a workshop that addresses these food quandaries.  You will get straightforward information about food and to help you make decisions and understand the difference between alkaline and acidic properties, organic vs. non-organic, plant protein vs. animal protein.  There are many trendy diets out there today, and we are happy to help you sort out all the information and clear up the confusion.

We have amazing recommendations for you based on the successful results of our clients.  Many clients have not only managed a healthy weight but also found the treasure of eating for wellness and energy.  You can look forward to some great recipes and food suggestions.  We will also touch on exercise suggestions.  As the old saying goes: You are what you eat!
