Celebrating Women’s History Month

We have come a long way! But the road is hard and full of obstacles.

Emerging from a patriarchal dominant society, women over many centuries were able to navigate their way through the obstacles, laws, societal rules and regulations and the many times of other women abandoning them as they surged forward with their vision and attempts to change the world.

This has always baffled me. Is this a reflection of our female society? We all remember times in our childhood when girls are being the hardest on each other. This is something we need to remedy as female adults and give more support to our female friends. This is always key for successful women leaders who praise other females and promote them.

We need to take accountability for our challenges and how to overcome them. It is easy to blame others or circumstances, yet those who are successful, learn from a very young age that taking accountability for ourselves is the fastest road to success. Blaming others is like giving your power away to let others define you and control you. Part with that mentality and be you and accountable to you. There is power in that.

Throughout history there were female leaders who ruled and were very successful. In ancient times some great women, but very few, like Cleopatra of Egypt, Joan of Arc, Athena Goddess defied restrictions and rose to power and leadership in unprecedented norms.

More recent history honors women such as Oprah Winfrey, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Amelia Earhart, Malala Yousafzai and many others.  Inspiration is all around us with great female energy that is paving the way for other women and future generations.

Let us celebrate all who came before us and all who are going to be our future female leaders.

We can support them and be part of this movement of awakening and owning that accomplishment as a group. It takes a family of wonderful Grandma’s, Mom’s, Aunty’s, Cousins, to raise a child. Show this child all the love you can, especially the females. Let them know they are special and can do whatever they set their mind to do.

Dreams are our soul’s compass to what we want to achieve. Our inner being knows deep down which direction it wants to go. Give it full reign and watch it grow.  Confidence is innate to those who trust their instincts and shut out all criticism. It is like watching the light of a candle, protect it from the winds and help it keep shining on.

Join me in celebrating all women, young and old, gone by in history, alive now and our future women. May they always be successful and prosperous.  I will always support you and raise your praises. As a female entrepreneur, I know the struggles of owning your own business, and also I know how satisfying it is to be successful and support other women in business.

May this be a special month of celebrations and achievements.
