Before we can look at the word integrity we also need to look at ourselves.
- Are you harsher on yourself than you are with others?
- Are you the first one to take the blame, no matter who’s at fault?
- Are you the one who is the first to have an outburst of anger or regret?
- Is it hard for you to take criticism or a compliment?
When we exhibit many of these traits we tell the world we have no integrity, because our confidence level is as low as we feel. But when we trust in ourselves and others, our integrity grows to levels other’s can see and strive to attain. It all boils down to how you perceive yourself.
There a ton of self help books out there to help take you from ground zero to top ten, but until you are really ready to hear and digest the words in each page, how much will you really change in yourself?
I recommend you start with a pros list. Ask yourself the following:
This little exercise will not only build your self-esteem it will give you the ground work of how and why you want to improve. When you do this, you build your integrity not only with yourself, but with others as well.
