Seven steps for emotional clearing
🍂 Falling Leaves
A Simple Ritual for Clearing Emotional Clutter
As the trees release their leaves, nature offers us a beautiful reminder:letting go is a natural part of life.
This simple seven-step practice can help you consciously release emotional clutter, honor what you have learned, and make space for new qualities and experiences.
Seven Steps to Emotional Clearing
1. Take a mindful walk.
Find a place where trees are naturally shedding their leaves. Slow down and notice the beauty of the season.
2. Choose seven leaves.
Pick up seven leaves from the ground, allowing each one to represent something you are ready to release.
3. Give thanks.
Thank the tree for its presence, its beauty, the growth it has provided, and for reminding you that there is wisdom in knowing when to let go.
4. Name what you are releasing.
Using a felt-tip pen, write a word on each leaf representing an emotion, thought, or pattern you are ready to let go of.
5. Practice gratitude.
Offer an intentional prayer of gratitude for the experiences that brought you to this point in your life. Reflect on what those experiences taught you and how they helped you grow.
6. Release.
With appropriate fire safety precautions, create a small fire. One at a time, place each leaf into the fire and consciously thank the process of release. As the leaf disappears, imagine the emotional energy being released as well.
7. Welcome what comes next.
Sit quietly for a moment and reflect with gratitude on your life. Ask yourself:What emotional qualities do I want to cultivate from this point forward?Perhaps peace, joy, confidence, love, forgiveness, or freedom.
I hope you enjoy this simple seasonal ritual and that, when you finish, you feel a little lighter, more peaceful, and open to the positive qualities that will shape your journey forward.
Lots of Blessings,
Doris
